I walk in the house; the dog brings her squeaky ball and drops it at my feet.
I walk into the kitchen and she brings her bone to me.
Now I’m afraid to go into the bathroom.

Dearest C & M,
I am so excited for you and happy that we are able to send you to camp. You are both enthusiastic and outgoing kids and I hope a new environment doesn’t dampen those wonderful qualities. I hope you’ll become so involved in camp life that you won’t have time to miss us.
I want you to swim and play your hearts out. I want you to be able to express your creativity every day. I want you to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. I want you to be safe and happy every day. I want you to grow and become more independent. I want you to have the freedom to be yourselves.
I hope you come back to us with stories and memories of a wonderful experience. I hope you will want to return to camp next summer.
