I am luxuriating in the peace. LUXURIATING!

Why is there a basket of clothes in my kitchen?
Because last night we did The Big Furniture Swirl (patent pending). We moved furniture up from the basement to The Girl’s room; her solid wood pieces went to The Boy’s room; his crap went down to the basement to store things like blankets and beach towels. There was a lot of perspiration last night.
So now, I am planning on organizing and getting baskets of clothes into their proper...
Here's why I love my neighbors
Got a text from neighbor across street who is visiting her mom in AZ asking if everything was O.K. because she noticed a call on her phone last night. (The Mister had dialed her number when he was trying to call her husband to borrow a hand truck)
Got a text from next door asking if the bags in front of my house were camp bags and, if so she would drag them under cover. (They were the donations)

Ruh Roh
Last night I put out 12 bags of old clothing to be donated. The truck is supposed to pick up some time today. It is pouring this morning with no signs of letting up.

Adding these items to my list:
• people who shuffle by my office and don’t pick up their feet
• the lack of ice cream in my freezer
• children under the age of 6 who use the word “freakin’”
• office “fun” lunches to promote departmental unity

Things that may or may not be missing
I only have their back packs, not the trunks. Here is a list of things The Girl brought home but not The Boy:
toothbrush
toothpaste
deodorant
hairbrush
a full pair of sneakers (he only showed up with one in the back pack)
underwear
I am fully expecting her trunk to be packed to the gills and his to be flapping in the breeze.
If you look closely
you can see the fear in the eyes of all the parents picking up the kids after a month away at camp.

Driving and singing like Elmer Fudd
Hewwo dawkness my old fwiend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softwy cweeping
Left it’s seeds while I was sweeping
And distuwbed the sounds of siwence
I am easily entertained

Current status
Nursing my sore back with a HEAT WRAP in 97 degree heat. I am doing this summer thing all wrong.
You win, procrastination
We’ve been planning to make the kids rooms tween friendly while they’re away at camp. The plan is to move up my old bedroom furniture from the basement into the Girl’s room. We didn’t want to give it to her when she was younger because she would have Sharpied it or added stickers to the finish as 6 year olds are wont to do. The boy will get grown up linens and a mature look...
