Bobby Darin - Mack the Knife

Five Things Friday which will NOT be about Snark except for this song which I somehow manage to think of when I see the word “snark.”

1. The Great Doggy Dooring Adventure is over. It took over two weeks to replace 3 exterior doors and one window, plus, we had the front door painted with the others at body shop. Also, new locks for all.

2. Speaking of Trixie, remember the other night when she woke us at 2:00? Someone who will remain nameless, but who is an 11 year old girl, left a bag of treats open where Trixie could get to them. Total carnage. Trixie woke up to tell us she had to go out NOW. She went through the dog door to the breezeway but someone, who will remain nameless and is a 6’ man, locked the dog door leading to the back yard. Trixie had her first accident ever in the breezeway. You could see the contrition on her face in the morning.

3. Not about dogs.

4. But really, she is such an excellent doggie. I just adore her and I tell her she’s my favorite child every day.

5. I’ve been hearing birds chirping in the morning and I want to go outside and ask “Excuse me, are you lost? It’s freakin’ February! We weren’t expecting you until April”
