Holy Crap

This is total bullshit.
I’m thinking about tomorrow morning and the possibility of making it into the city. If the kids have school, I will try to go in to the office because I’m feeling a bit of cabin fever. The message from our school district is that most of the schools have power. The problem is that after a test run of all the bus routes, a number of roads are blocked by trees. There are no traffic lights on the secondary intersections.
Newsday reports the LIRR will be running at 45% capacity with hourly service on my line. The article links to train maps and schedules. I clicked on my line’s schedule image and zoomed in the maximum number of clicks. This is what I got - a message that I need to login with a Facebook or Scribs account.
Here’s a newsflash, Newsday: Facebook does not need to know that I am looking at train schedules. How much did you get for that action? I have daily Newsday delivery, so I am already logged into your paywall. Is this is how you treat your customers?
I clicked on over to the MTA site and got the same schedule and was able to zoom in to see the schedule. There will be trains at 7:03, 7:30 and 7:36 tomorrow morning.
